The view point of the average working class person

Like my father and my grandfather, I am a member of the working class, (or should I say the NON-working class). I live in the state of Michigan, which, in my opinion, is something of a economic blackhole. I am not going to debate weather or not the union people deserve a share of the blame or not, because that wouldn't be fair. The trouble we have today is more the fault of the huge banks, the sheer greed of the people who run those banks, the US government, the state governments and the outright moronic BS that has been in the news recently. I get disgusted when I hear about all this GOP and Democrat bickering along party lines and never getting anything worth doing done.

I always hear, (or read) how the president is to blame for the issues. The people who think that way seem to forget that a large part of our national financial trouble was caused by the the greedy idiot who last held the presidental office.

I am not claiming that all working class people feel the same way that I do because I know I am not, nor would I want to. I am only talking about my view point, but I am sure that there is one hell of a lot of people in this nation who would agree with my opinion that something needs to be done.

Many people only care about themselves. They don't realize that we are all dependent on each other to some extent. They watch too much political propaganda on the boob tube. They let the government do their thinking for them.As long as they feel comfortable they are happy. They will do whatever they are told if if it means they can continue being comfortable.

Ya, something needs to be done for sure. Get rid of the lobbyists who pollute Capitol Hill; make lobbying illegal as bribery should be and then, you can start having some accountability within the government.

Taking control of the monetary system from the crooked bankers at the Federal Reserve Bank would also help. That is if you want financial slavery to end ...

All the best!

You make some very valid points. The American system of government was created for honest and morally upright people who would serve the people. Unfortunately, as has been stated in other comments, some tend to serve only their own interests. Thanks for sharing.
