Why are there some people out there who create problems for others?

 I haven't been able to get online for a few days due to a virus that slipped past my anti virus software. Why is it that there are people out there who are smart enough to design something like that who create such malicious things such as viruses, trojan horses and malware, instead of using the talent they have for a more constructive purpose? I will never understand the motivations of people like that.

I had to upgrade my version of windows to get rid of the problem. I am the type of person who uses an OS until it is almost totally obsolete. I used 98 well past the time that it was current. I only switched to XP when I had a problem like this in 2006. Now I have Vista. I have heard so many bad things about it that I was a little afraid to make the switch, so we will see how it works out.
